Heat and Heat Stroke

Summer is the best time to have fun under the sun! A lot are busy preparing for outings whether with family, friends and even company outings. If you are just staying at home with no schedule for any outing at all, still there is heat! And now you will be acquainted with the most popular heat stroke. With these, I guess it’s just appropriate to share some tips in beating heat stroke.

1. A person suffering from a heat stroke should be moved to a cooler spot. His/her clothes should be loosened.

2. A cold water sponge should be given and the person's palm and feet should be rubbed for better blood circulation in the body.

3. To avoid heat stroke, one should have long cooling baths frequently in the day and let children play in swimming pools. A body immersed in water and hydrated has less chances of getting a heat stroke.

4. And for those who believe that prevention is better than cure, drink lots of water, binge on lemonade, buttermilk, juice and even coconut water. Avoid coffee and alcohol and heavy exercises.

5. Increase the frequency and duration of rest breaks to help you stay hydrated and cool.

Now that we know some tips, it will be much safer to go out and enjoy!
