COSTA SERENA TO BE INAUGURATED IN MARSIELLE, FRANCE

   

The new Costa Flagship will be the ship of space and light. Its name symbolizes harmony and serenity. The Costa Serena will be inaugurated in the port of Marseille on May 19, 2007 and will include an official ceremony in accordance with maritime tradition, as well as an inaugural show, in accordance with Costa's grand tradition of inaugural events. The Costa Serena, 112,000 gross tons with a total guest capacity of 3,780 is the twelfth member of the Costa fleet, Europe's largest and most advanced. Costa Serena and her sister ship the Costa Concordia, are the largest and longest ships in the fleet. The prestigious Samsara Spa spreads over two decks and will be a haven of wellness and relaxation. The beautiful Samsara Suites have direct access to the Spa. There are four swimming pools, two with retractable glass roofs. The decks are spacious and panoramic, and the stylish public areas are designed with your comfort and relaxation in mind. The choice of Marseille for the inaugural of the Costa Serena marks a long-established relationship linking the Italian company with France in general and Marseille in particular.

I.S.O. 9001-2000 INTERNAL AUDIT FOR MNL-CARGO SALES AND SERVICES

Last 28 – 29 March 2007 Internal Audit was conducted by Mr. Raafat Abduljabbar – SV QMS Internal Auditor, in MNL for Cargo Sales and Services as per instruction by Chief Cargo Services Support (QMR) as part of Saudia’s worldwide standardization.

This program was conducted to ensure that the Cargo Department is continuously maintaining international standards. This International Standard promotes the adoption of a process approach when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of Quality Management System (QMS), to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements.

Cargo Sales and Services were audited according to cargo quality check list. Non-conformances were raised during the process which need implementation of corrective actions.

IN-HOUSE COURSE ON BASIC TICKETING & TARIFF

 

In pursuing the company’s objective to enhance employee growth, TWASP's Admin/Finance Department undertook a course on Basic Ticketing & Tariff last February 05-09, 2007 at TWASP's Reservations Work Area.

The 5-day program focused on  fundamental understanding of passenger tickets, guidelines on ticketing, & fare computations. The eager participants were met by chosen lecturers from the company's own ticketing & reservations staff from SV and BI. The training was headed by Ms. Vicky Pajarillaga, SV CTO/PTA Supervisor.
