MOVING ON

The first half of 2008 is over. A lot of things have transpired during the last six months. The value of the peso is going down, prices of fuel is surging every week, the masses continually queuing up for the more affordable NFA rice, the sinking of a large sea vessel buried hundreds of people under the sea. In the company, we have witnessed the end of a 29-year business relationship with one of our principals and the flight of some employees to work overseas and locally. Just as when we are about to move on, something not so pleasant comes up again dampening our spirits.

“Don't let life discourage you; everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was.” Richard L. Evans

I came across this quotation a few moons ago and I think this is very apt to what is happening around. Despite the series of unfortunate events, it is also a time to reflect on the lessons that can be learned from theses circumstances. By doing so, we may be able to plan well and execute alternative strategies that would eventually lead us to the accomplishment of our goals.
