July, August, and September are the wet months in our country. Farmers embrace it, the homeless dread it, and Manileños hate it because of the flood it brings. We individually interpret the rain - "Some people feel the rain, others just get wet." The quote suggests, of course, for us to be fully engaged in our life's experiences, we don't just let them happen around us. Change is something that we face throughout our lives as we take on new positions or new personal relationships.

We need to take advantage of this challenge and begin preparing ourselves to be wiser persons. We should seek out new ideas and experiences, identify interests and ways to work and serve where we can be truly passionate. When we follow our passion, we are much more likely to succeed at doing it, and to sticking with it over time.

With passion comes dedication and perseverance, energy and drive, concentration and focus. All qualities needed to succeed in life.

There will be many opportunities for us to explore our faith and that of others, to grow intellectually and spiritually in the soil of hope blessed constantly by the rain.
