The Foreign Chamber’s SME Trade Fair re-launched their annual trade fair for 2008 and TWASP-Holland America and Costa Cruise Line were invited to participate the event. This was held last 19 to 20 November 2008 at Megatrade Hall 3 SM Megamall B, Mandaluyong City. The Foreign Chambers’ SME Trade Fair is a platform for SME (Small and Medium-sized enterprises) companies and products and service providers to showcase their business solutions for the unique needs of SME’s. The following Foreign Chambers who organized the event were Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce, American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, British Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Chamber of Commerce and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines. After the success of Saudia’s ticketing and reservations office at the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, another SV office was inaugurated last November 10, 2008 inside the Saudi Recruitment Office (SRO), one of SV’s top accounts. Located at 18th floor Banco de Oro Plaza, Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, SV offers reservations services for hired applicants by the Employment Attache. The actual operation started last November 13, 2008.

SRO hires medical staff such as nurses, dental assistants, etc for government hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A simple office was set-up to ensure convenience and priority booking for first time passengers of Saudia. Operating hours are from 1:00pm-4:00pm every Wednesday to Friday with one SV staff on duty. SV PARTICIPATES IN THE 78th NATIONAL DAY OF THE
KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

Last September 13, 2008, Saudi Arabian Airlines headed by its new Country Manager, Mr. Abdullah I. Alazhari and Station Manager Mr. Ibrahim I. Albatli participated in the celebration of the 78th National day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was hosted by Saudi Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Mohammed Ameen Wali of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia. SV Sales Office, who also made their representation on the occasion mounted a booth for the airline at the function hall of the new location of Saudi Embassy at HV Dela Costa Street, Makati City.

The KSA National Day was graced by a number of guests and VIPs coming from different sectors, such as members of the diplomatic community, travel and recruitment industry personalities, foreign dignitaries and media companies. Important political figures like Former President Fidel V. Ramos, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, Representative Chavit Singson were also among those attended the said important occasion.
